As Temperatures Drop….Business Coats Rise

House of Salgado offers winter fashion tips for 2008

(TORONTO, ONTARIO) Want to dress to impress? House of Salgado, one of the few remaining bespoke (made-to-order) men's suit stores in Toronto knows what it takes to incorporate great style into your everyday life. From finding the right fit to design basics to determining performance quality, House of Salgado has their finger on the pulse of the fashion industry.

If chosen well, the right clothes can hide the features we don't like about ourselves and accentuate our best ones. A mainstay in the Greater Toronto Area since 1951, the store's co-owner, Mark Salgado, has tips for men looking to keep in-touch and in-style this winter:
Suit jackets are fitted and shorter with sleek lines and slight roped shoulders.
Two-button, single breasted jackets are in. Buttons are slightly higher with tapered sleeves showcasing lots of detail.
Pants should be fitted and clean looking with no pleats and a tapered leg.
Top coats are fitted shorter, at knee length, and fitted with sleek lines, three-button narrow notch lapels and soft finish.
Colours are earthy with bold accents.

"This is always a difficult time of year for men, as the transition from summer to winter styles can be quite a task," said Mark Salgado, co-owner of House of Salgado. "Details are important, so scarves, hats and the right tie can make a world of difference. Good taste and well tailored is always in style," he added.
